Prop setting 1 : Future Gadget lab Diorama

So, ever since I got my Figma Okabe, I had tried my best to create the future Gadget Lab as seen in the anime. I browsed many pictures on the internet and tried to find the closest picture resembling the lab for my reference and I got a nice looking one here.

As you guys can see from the picture, this seems like a pretty legit future gadget lab.

And here is a picture of the lab as seen in the anime. The lab looks a little bit gloomy due to low light interference. I tried to recreate the lab from this view because most of the scene in the anime were taken from this angle.

 First look of the set and here are all things that I managed to get it done on the first day. I use stickers for the wooden floor which I found at my local hardware store and it is very cheap.

 The sofa is one of the main feature of the lab because lots of scene of conversations between characters were taken on this green sofa. The base of the sofa was made out of small box and I wrapped it with a green fabric from my mom old shirt.

 I used glue to bind the fabric and the box together and the cushion were made up with two sponge which you had to cut it first into the shape that you wanted before you glued it with the fabric.

 I had tried my best to make this sofa looks the same as in the anime by making the cushion had some curve at the edges and the i added details on the arm lap.

 This shingeki no kyojin manga was made by printing the cover of the manga that I got from the internet and glued it on top of a card board which had been cut first .

 This snack jar is a random prop obtained from my sister toys.

 The calendar was made by the same technique as the manga above.

 The microwave however is a different one. I created it out of papercraft template that I scanned from my papercraft book by cutting the shape of it and then glued it on a card board to give the prop a strong foundation.

 again another random props that I found from my sister toys.

 and lastly the iconic banana that played a huge roll in steins;gate anime. I created this purely out of cotton bud by cutting the cotton at each end of the cotton bud, then pressed your thumb on the cotton, glued the cotton to the plastic and coloured it with yellow and you're done. I'm still brainstorming on how to create the gel banana.
